THE ENERGY SAVINGS MAKEOVER
The Thirty Green team is at it again! In 2009, the Jones family saved 50% on their energy costs after the makeover. Our goal is to achieve higher results for another Houston family this summer.
Over 700 applications were received! We reviewed the applications, verified bills, visited homes and narrowed the list to 3 homes. Viewers of KPRC Channel 2 have voted for the family they would like to receive the Energy Savings Makeover. Congratulations to Tim and Terri Garcia, announced June 10 as the winners. Energy Savings Makeover
The 2011 Thirty Green Energy Savings Makeover onsite work is almost complete. Gary Parr led the team from Home Energy Consultants as they performed an complete energy audit on the Garcia home and devised a whole house plan turning this "energy hog" into an energy efficient home.
The Thirty Green contractor team finished specific energy upgrades: attic ventilation, radiant barrier, attic sealing, attic insulation, windows, air conditioning, and wall insulation. More details Saturday at 2-4pm on KSEV 700AM.
